Mother doesn't have much time left
Now I think to myself
Wishing her to see me happy
And bring home a good girl so she will gladly
... Accept her and my past mistakes
Of the bad ones that were impure and fake
Questionable taste in women, I was wrong
To bring them home and lead her on
Only led to disappointment
Energy was misspent
Thankful she was tolerant
Have a grandchild
To make her smile
All while
She has her new daughter in-law on speed dial
