Skittles (Sonnet)

Decorated with exotic flavors
Skittles candy elaborately placed
Circles your triangle, outside layers
As you gaze into space as you embrace
For my delicate serving to sample
Piece by piece you lay in relief in peace
My taste buds are overwhelmed and trampled
Familiar sensations over run streets
Of your colorful candy coated town
Whip cream is outlawed and thing of the past
Abiding citizen sucking on brown
Wondering how long will the colors last
Your flavor last forever, now I know
Finally I get to taste the rainbow

Golden Eye (Sonnet)

All was made in superior image
All will be destroyed in blink of my eye
Boundary lines will be blurred in scrimmage
Tears will be washed away as my fire cry
To mourn out their existence for living
Lost souls lost sight of why they're created
Blessings took for granted yet forgiven
Mass grave, no burials, all cremated
Scorch insides of Earth to outer layers
Reflection of flames turns my eye gold
Eternity kept with final prayers
No more stories after this will be told
The entire sphere now resembles the sun
I am God and history is now done

149 Words (Haiku, Tanka, Sonnet)

With last dying breath
Hundred forty nine words left
To express myself

Death is tied to me
Attached to this foreign tree
A grave mystery
Brave to the grave I will see
Last days I behave neatly

With each word I speak a leaf has fallen
I will die when last leaf falls to the ground
Birds are chirping at my fate that's calling
I premeditate every last sound
Each word is calculated from my mouth
Even words I write are strikes against me
Before my saliva is dried and drought
Is brought within me to where I envy
This curse as I curse for spell to disburse
As I'm taken away but not our love
Now this tree has a hold on me for worst
This curse from underground not from above
I'll love you for all of eternity
Too real this life is more than a movie

Thank You (Sonnet)

Sweetheart, you are everything to me
Thank you for treating my son the right way
You've opened up my eyes for now I see
Things clear and my past is blurry today
As if you erase memories of mine
In exchange for new one's to share with you
Blind me like sun, even my son is blind
As you're watching over us shining through
Vital to our days, look forward to night
As in night the love we make is at best
Reciprocated through poems I've written
Soothe my body over, made to caress
Good to my son since he came out the womb
"I'll love you always" on my fading tomb
