The Fourth

On this day
I light it up
I was outside in plain view
Bold with my thick smoke
I choke as I inhale
Spirits are high today
Soul being lifted
My friends blush
Neighbors would envy
Later I dip in wet to extend the high
To top the night off
I look to the dark sky and see sparks of light
Damn this feels so good
On this day
I barbecued,
Went swimming,
And watched fireworks
I had a hell of a Fourth of July
